  Three Star defends Udaypur Cup

UDAYPUR, Feb 7
: Three Star Club of Lalitpur defended the title of Udaypur Gold Cup Football Tournament on Thursday defeating Yeti Airlines Himalayan Sherpa Club 1-0 in the final held in Udaypur.

Nigerian recruit Victor gave an early third minute lead to holder Three Star which turned to be the match decider. As the champion Three Star bagged purse of Rs 150,000 while the runner up Himalayan Sherpa satisfied with Rs 100,000 along with trophies and certificates.

This is the second title of Three Star of the season. Earlier, Three Star had claimed title of Aaha-Rara Gold Cup Football Tournament on Saturday.

Heman Gurung of runner up Himalayan Sherpa was declared the best player of the tournament and received Rs 10,000 for the feat.
