TAPLEJUNG, Feb 9: The local authorities on Saturday handed over relief materials to the victims of Fungling fire. Eight houses were destroyed in the fire that broke out in Fungling, the district headquarters of Taplejung.
The local authorities have estimated that the fire damaged property worth around Rs 25 million.
Five families received Rs 5,000 each along with relief materials worth Rs 10,000 from the Taplejung District Development Committee (DDC).
Similarly, the district disaster management committee provided tent, clothes, pens and food supplies to the fire victims, said Chief District Officer Kiran Thapa.
Meanwhile, Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry informed that it has been collecting donations for the fire victims.
