KATHMANDU: Former US President Jimmy Carter is arriving in Nepal on March 28, said a source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA). Though the visit of Carter, who has been closely observing Nepal´s political development, is said to be "personal", he will be holding meetings with various political as well as civil society leaders while in Nepal. Sources said Carter will be accompanied by his spouse and President and CEO of Carter Center John Barnett Hardman. Carter had last visited Nepal on the eve of Constituent Assembly election held in April, 2008. Prior to his visit, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Alyssa Christine Ayres is scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu on February 20
