  Lightning kills four in Makwanpur

CHITWAN Feb 17: Three locals in Kankada VDC of Makwanpur died after being struck by lightning on Sunday afternoon. According to Makwanpur police, the deceased have been identified as Sujan Moktan, Ashamaya Moktan and Anupa Thing of Kankada VDC-5.

Kankada VDC secretary Ram Bahadur Moktan informed that the lightning victims had died on the spot.

Similarly, one person was killed after being struck by lightning in Rupandehi on Sunday. The dead has been identified as Prem Bahadur Thapa, 52, of Butwal-14, Tamnagar. Thapa had died while being rushed to Lumbini Zonal Hospital for treatment.
