SARLAHI, Feb 21: Two forest guards were severely injured when they were attacked by a group of poachers at Sagarnath Forestry Development Project of Mahottari on Wednesday midnight, police said.
Around 10 armed poachers severely beat up Kamalesh Mahato and Ashok Mahato for around an hour, Project Chief Hemlal Aryal said. They even torched guards’ clothes after stripping them off.
Injured guard Kamalesh is reported to be in critical condition as he sustained severe injuries on his head.
The poachers also set fire on Kusmadi Talke Range Post of Belgachi-8, Mahottari.
