  BUSINESS BRIEFS: Palpa Mahotsav to be held

KATHMANDU, Feb 25: Palpa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) is organizing Palpa Mahotasav from Thursday. According to the organizers, the major objective of the 10-day fair is to promote agriculture, tourism, cottage and small scale industry along with promotion of local culture. The event, which will be held at Tundikhel of Tansen, features 250 stalls.

Organizers said the stalls will be showcasing local handicraft and agricultural products, among others. Educational institutions, banks, ICT firms and real estate developers are also participating in the fair. Madhudayal Sainju, president of PCCI, said the event will also feature separate pavilion to promote ginger which comes under ´one village, one product´ scheme of the government. [breal]

NMB Bank launches new saving product

KATHMANDU
: NMB Bank has launched a new saving product named "NMB Bank Privilege Savings". Issuing a statement on Monday, the bank said the saving account is targeted specifically to customers who want prioritized service and do not have the time to wait and stand in long queues for banking queries or transactions. According to the statement, the product features dedicated relationship managers who will provide personalized services for all banking queries. "Privilege Savings Account customers will have access to the bank´s "Priority Banking" services including making utility payment and insurance premium payment on behalf of the client.

With attractive interest rates on the minimum balance of Rs 100,000, customers will also get free subscription of NMB Bank VISA Debit Card, International VISA Debit Card, Mobile Banking, e-Banking, free ABBS service and a waiver on safety deposit locker fee," the statement added. Privilege Savings Account customers also get cash bonus, shopping voucher worth Rs 1,000 and a discount of 10 percent on payments through NMB Bank VISA Debit Card in all outlets of Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket in and outside the valley.

IME ´Customers´ Special Week´ concludes

KATHMANDU
: International Money Express´s (IME) customer- centric promotional campaign IME Customers´ Special Week, which started on February 19, has concluded. According to a press statement issued on Monday, the campaign organized in honor of its customers helped IME delight each of its customer coming at all IME agent outlets with assured gifts, exquisite hospitality, fine ambience and a differentiated service. "More than 100,000 customers received freebies and around 50,000 customers of IME received Ncell SIM with Rs 99 talk value for free on each transaction made at IME centers and other agent outlets across Nepal during the campaign period," the statement said.
