BHADRAPUR, Feb.25: The District Court Jhapa has slapped a life sentence along with confiscation of all property on mastermind behind the murder of district-based journalist Yadav Poudel.
A single bench of judge Girirajmani Gautam on Monday, convicted Yubraj Giri of mastermind behind the killing of journalist Poudel, handed down a decision to that end.
Other accomplice in the murder—Phulamaya Karki alias Manju has been sentenced to three years in prison while Somnath Dhakal has been sentenced to one year and Madan Rai to six months.
All the accused had been arrested by the police same day of the accident.
Journalist Poudel was murdered near the Birtamod-based bus park on April 2, 2012
