  No change in Paras' condition

REPUBLICA

KATHMANDU, Feb 26: No significant change was observed on Tuesday in the medical condition of former Crown Prince Paras Bir Bikram Shah, who is undergoing treatment at Samitivej Hospital in Bangkok after suffering a major heart attack a week ago, the latest statement issued by the hospital said.

Yet again the hospital has referred to his condition as “very critical but stable”.

Shah suffered a major cardiac arrest last Tuesday night--the second since September 2007--at the apartment of Bangkok-based Nepali businessman Sunil Khadka at Rama 9 in Bangkok, where he had been staying for the last two months.

Doctors said his heart had stopped beating for around 50 minutes when he was brought to the hospital at around 8 pm.
