Wikipedia is a good site for basic information but its usage in academic works should be questioned. Despite the fact that the website is monitered, its utilization in furthering academic works should be undermined. Its openness can be taken as a double edged sword.

The accuracy study of WIkipedia is always on-going process, however, quoting Wikipedia is never suggested by any academicians, if so they can refer to the reference made at the button of each Wikipedia article, if not contact the authors (whenever available.)
