KATHMANDU, June 22: Police have recovered the body of a teenaged girl, who was abducted from Putalisadak 17 days ago, in a stream at Sainbu VDC, Lalitpur, on Sunday.
A special police team of Nepal Police Headquarters found the mutilated body of Khyati Shrestha following an intensive investigation over the kidnapping.
The slain girl is the only child of Gopal Shrestha, who was living in Ghattekulo in a rented apartment to help her pursue higher studies.
Sources close the family said an unidentified woman had called Khyati in the afternoon of on June 5 saying that she won Rs 20,000 in cash and a free trip to Pokhara through a random selection of VOW (Voice of Woman) Magazine. The woman had asked Khyati to come to Putalisadak to collect the prize.
Her parents then asked a youth who also lived in the house to drop her to Putalisadak on a motorcycle. The woman then took her to Minbhawan in a taxi from Share Market Complex, Putalisadak.
It was only known in the evening that Khyati was kidnapped after her father received a text message that said Khyati had been kidnapped.

While warning her parents not to inform police, the kidnappers had demanded Rs 1 million in ransom for her release. The kidnappers had used Khyati’s mobile phone to demand the ransom amount.
The slain Khyati sat for grade XII exam from Jubilian College and Research Center. She, however, had failed to take practical examination of Chemistry scheduled on June 8, as she was still in captivity.
Police have arrested a teacher of her college as the mastermind of the kidnapping incident and his accomplice, a lady teacher in the college.
Police have not given official information about the kidnapping incident and the names of the arrested yet, citing ongoing investigation.
Family sources quoting police investigation officials claimed Khyati died the day she was kidnapped as the kidnappers, while trying to make her unconscious, overdosed her with chloroform.
Despite her death the same evening, the kidnappers had assured Khyati´s parents that she was safe with them and asked the family members to come with the said ransom amount to get her released. The group had initially asked her parents to come to Butwal and later to Chitwan, Kakarbhitta and other places.
Her mother had finally paid the ransom amount as demanded after reaching Kakarbhitta some four days ago.
Police made the arrest of the teacher and his accomplice based on suspicion of Khyati´s parents. Police managed to track the site where the mutilated body was dumped as per the details given by the arrested teacher himself on Saturday.

That teacher is a shit to all terachers in nepal.Due to no strict rules and punishment in Nepal people do illegal stuffs and crimes. There should be some severe punishment like life imprisionment, hang till death, and deadly stuffs...then only the sick people will realise not to do these stuffs..i am thinking of killing that sucked teacher cause 6 or 7 years imprisonment is not suitable for him.

Its a horrible news that how could the person can cuts an innocent girls in the pieces just for the money. Now the culprits should be treated in the same way . If he will get the prisonment of certain year then he will not know the importance of the life. For that for the very begining before the prisoment should cut his hands in the pieces and then after only he has to keep in the prison.
