KATHMANDU, Aug 1: Police on Friday evening arrested two accused in Tri-Chandra shootout incident of last month.
The shootout triggered by a dispute between Nepal Students´ Union (NSU) and All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) over a tender for the construction of a college building had left a central leader of the NSU, Bhim Singh Gurung, injured. The dispute ended up in torching of an administrative block as well as gunfire allegedly by ANNFSU activists.
NSU had filed a complaint against three members of ANNFSU including Ain Bahadur Mahar and Samik Baral against whom police later lodged a murder attempt case in Kathmandu District Court. Ain is the Kathmandu Valley in-charge of the Youth Force.
