  TJSC withdraws protest programs

REPUBLICA

KATHMANDU, Aug 4: Tamsaling Joint Struggle Committee (TJSC) withdrew its protest program after an eight-point agreement with government on Tuesday.

“We have withdrawn the Kathmandu Valley and Tamsaling area banda and other protest program,” Kumar Yonjan, TJSC general-secretary told myrepublica.com.

The government on Tuesday agreed to allocate budget for Tamsaling ringroad and complete the survey design by the end of the year; immediately constitute the area development committees for Swoyambhu and Namo Buddha and create an army battalion for Tamang army men.

TJSC launched an agitation accusing government of not implementing 19-point agreement signed with them.
