LAHAN, Aug 12: The death toll in Tuesday´s bus accident near Kureni camp of Siddhicharan Highway in Udayapur has reached eight. Three dozen people were injured in the accident.
Among the dead, only five have been identified so far, according to the district´s police chief Pashupatinath Dotel. Among the dead are Binod Chaudhary, 35, of Katari, Udayapur; Bidur Koirala of Sirse-6, Udayapur; Bikash Rai of Khotang-5, Gita Shah of Katari-7, and Kaji Tamang of Okhaldhunga.
The bus (Ba 1 Kha 7461) bound for Katari from Ghurmi had fallen 500 meters below the road on Tuesday.
