BUTWAL, Aug 13: Four people died of snakebite in Lumbini Zonal Hospital this month. They were among 26 patients brought to the hospital this month after being bitten by snakes. Those who died were residents of Rupandehi, Kapilvastu and Nawalparasi districts.
Altogether 21 people who were brought to the hospital for treatment after being bitten by snakes had lost their lives last year.
The hospital provides treatment for snakebite for free.
