  Six killed in Tanahun bus mishap (Updated)

POKHARA, Aug 24
: Six died on the spot when a bus met an accident at Khahare of Vyas Municipality on Monday afternoon.

More than fifty were injured in the incident. Among them, 30 critically injured are being treated at Regional Hospital, Pokhara and others are being treated at Damauli Hospital, according to District Police Office, Tanahun.

The bus was bound to Bholretar of Lamjung from Damauli of Tanahun.



Those deceased are identified as Krishna Prasad Bhusal, 42, of Tanahun, Surya Bahadur Nepali, 16, of Vyas, Prem Shrestha, 26, of Kyamin, Birmaya Kumal, 30, of Bhanu, Junum Thapa, 12, of Kyamin and Chandra Gurung, 30, of Lamjung.

The bus with registration plate Ga 1 Kha 1161 fell approximately 150-meter off the road on the bank of Madi river, some seven kilometer north-west of Damauli. The bus was carrying around 60 passengers.
