Business service center opened in Palpa

REPUBLICA

PALPA, Aug 29: Palpa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) launched a One-Stop Starter Shop, an entrepreneurial service center through which existing and aspiring businessmen can avail advisory and technical assistance for starting business, in Tansen on Saturday.

Although long-discussed, this shop in the district headquarters has become the first of its kind to provide business related services to support private sector operations and growth. Inaugurating the center, central member of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Guna Nidhi Tiwari, said the FNCCI would open second such center in Surkhet in the near future.

The service center in Tansen will extend services to the businessmen in Gulmi, Arghakhanchi and Syangja districts as well.

Although opening of the center has elated entrepreneurs, Tiwari complained that deteriorating law and order situation and industrial insecurity has made investors hesitant, thereby affecting industrialization and innovation.

“The private sector has zeal and capability to drive the country´s economic growth. But, unfortunately, the government has not responded to our needs in a prompt and appropriate way,” he stated, addressing the function.

Highlighting the importance of the center, PCCI President Bhushan Rajlawat said businessmen in the region can now acquire all necessary information and business related services under the same roof.

According to Rajlawat, the center will provide requisite entrepreneurial knowledge, tax and business counseling, support identification of prospective business ventures, formulation of business plan and other consultancy services that are needed while starting a business.
