MAHESHWAR CHAMLING RAI

UDAYAPUR, Sept 2: The 13 persons missing in a landslide at Simle in Jaleshwari-2 of Khotang on Monday night were yet to be found till Wednesday evening.

The chances of finding them alive is slim due to continuous landslide. The 72-man joint rescue team of the Nepal Army, Nepal Police and APF, which is on search and rescue operation since Tuesday, is yet to find any trace of the missing.

A village about 500 meters above the site of landslide has also come under threat with the land tearing up following incessant rain on Wednesday and 12 families have been shifted to the proposed Simle Secondary School, the police said. Six families had already been shifted to the school on Tuesday evening.
