BIRATNAGAR, April 16: School text books printed by the private printers and the Janak Educational Materials Center Limited are found to be printed on sub-standard paper, complained local teachers and students.
Teachers said that the quality of printing in mostly the books distributed to students from class one to 10 is bad and the paper is also of low quality.
The government has given permission to seven printing presses including the Bhagwat Printing Press, Krishna Printing Press and Pentagon Printing Press in the eastern region to print the text books, but students have been facing difficulties while reading books published in the eastern region as the quality of print is poor due to lack of proper monitoring.
According to the principal at Sunsari Majdoor Kisan Secondary School, Madheli, Parshuram Chaudhary, the quality of paper used for printing the books is low and it is also not durable to last even for one academic session.
