Party Unity Possible: Chand |

BAGLUNG, July 18: Secretary of newly-formed CPN-Maoist, Netra Bikram Chand, has said that party unity with the UCPN (Maoist) is still possible if the UCPN (Maoist) agrees on political thoughts and leadership of the CPN-Maoist.
Talking to RSS Wednesday morning in Baglung, Chand said party unity is likely if agreements were made on thought and leadership.
Leader Chand arrived in Baglung for the first after forming the new party to attend a cadres´ training program.
Chand said, "An environment will be prepared to remain in a single party if the UCPN (Maoist) comes by correcting its mistakes."
He argued that the Baidya faction of the UCPN (Maoist) formed announced a breakaway by rejecting leadership of UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Vice-Chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai.
Chand said, "The root cause of party division is political deviation in them (Dahal and Bhattarai)."
Saying the CPN-Maoist was in favor of peaceful politics, leader Chand said to go for the revolt if people´ rights were not ensured.
He also suggested that a round table conference should be organized to forge broader consensus among the political to end political deadlock.
