CA Cannot Be Reinstated Again: Koirala |

KATHMANDU, Sept 2: Central Committee member of Nepali Congress Shekhar Koirala on Sunday flatly ruled out the possibility of reinstatement of the dissolved Constituent Assembly (CA).
"Consensus would not be forged between the political parties on knotty issues in new constitution," he said, adding, "The CA which was formed for two years cannot be reinstated now at a time when the Supreme Court has also ruled against it."
He was also of opinion that there is no alternative than going to fresh elections. Koirala also warned of civil war in the country if the political parties opt for single identity based federalism.
Koirala also accused Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai led government of being totalitarian and said that the PM Bhattarai would be ousted only through stiff protest. "This government can be toppled only through stiff protest", he reiterated. |
