CIAA To Monitor Road Expansion Drive |

KATHMANDU, Sept 6: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has suggested the concerned government agencies to carry out road expansion and upgradation drive in Kathmandu valley in a coordinated and effective way.
The anti-graft body also alerted top government officials that it would strictly monitor the drive for possible irregularties.
The commission on Thursday summoned secretaries of the Ministry of Physical Planning and Works, Ministry of Urban Development, Ministry of Local Development and the Ministry of Energy to discuss the matter.
Also, chiefs of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and officials from other government agencies were also invited at the meeting.
CIAA Spokesperson Ishwari Prasad Paudel informed that they have asked the officials to come up with a time-bound plan of action on carrying out the drive in a coordinated and effective way. "We have clearly told them that we will strictly monitor the drive," Paudel told Republica. |
