CHAUTARA, Sept 22: The Melamchi-Tipeni-Bhetang road section in Sindhupalchowk district is blocked for almost a month now.
Transportation service was halted after heavy landslides blocked the road at different places along the Melamchi-Tipeni section. It is said that around Rs 8.5 million is needed for the maintenance of the road.
Engineer at District Technicians´ Office Parshuram Baidar said that the District Development Committee is likely to face difficulty managing such a huge amount without support from the Department of Roads. People of 10 different VDCs have been hard hit due to vehicular disruption.
