'Govt Loses Moral Grounds After Nov 22'
LAHAN, Nov 11: CPN-UML Secretary Shankar Pokharel on Sunday morning said the incumbent Baburam Bhattarai-led government’s legitimacy will end after November 22.

Speaking at a press meet organized by Press Chautari Nepal, the Siraha chapter, leader Pokharel argued the government will lose its legitimacy and morality to stay on in power after November 22 as it failed to hold Constituent Assembly polls as per its announcement earlier.

“The incumbent authoritarian government is the main stumbling block in resolving the current crisis in the country, and street protest is going to overthrow this government,” Pokharel said talking to journalists.

On the occasion, leader Pokharel, who is also a former minister for information and communications, ruled out any prospect of bringing in the new budget by the current government.

“A caretaker government cannot bring in full-fledged budget without consensus as per the constitution and considering past practices. There is no point accepting the budget by the president,” said Pokharel.
