PM Urge Not To Politicize Budget |

BUTWAL, Nov 12: Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has urged the opposition parties not to politicize the budget issue.
Stating that economic and development activities in the country would be negatively affected if the full budget was not brought on time, the Prime Minister said the government is still in line of bringing the complete budget on the basis of consensus among the political parties.
Laying a foundation stone for an overhead water tank under the Sainamaina Drinking Water and Sanitation Project at Parroha of Rupandehi district today, the PM said the nation was passing through transition, and underlined the need of political consensus to draft the new constitution in time.
On the occasion, UCPN (Maoist) central member and local drinking water consumers´ committee chairman Bhakti Pandey urged the PM to take an initiative to address the issues of locals.
According to Nandalal Banjade, Chief of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Sub-Division Office, Rupandehi, the completion of the project will be beneficial to 2,570 households of Ward No. 2, 5 and 6. The cost estimate of the project is around Rs. 70 million.
