145 Penalized For Drink-driving On Thursday |

KATHMANDU, Nov. 15: The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division has taken action against 145 persons for driving under the influence of alcohol on Thursday.
Compared to the previous days, a large number of people were found driving drunk, most probably spurred by the Bhai Tika celebrations today, police said.
Likewise, some of the people resorting to hooliganism and anarchism in course of the Tihar celebrations were taken into custody, according to Police Inspector Nawaraj Thapa.
In course of the action taken by traffic police, a total of 44 units of motorcycles were impounded today. |
