Angel Lama, a transgender woman, has served as an advocacy officer at the Blue Diamond Society for four years, focusing on providing sexuality and reproductive education to queer youth locally, nationally, and internationally. Lama is also a co-founder of the 'Eco Warriors' community, a youth queer group dedicated to advocating climate change awareness from the perspective of queer and sexual and gender minority communities.

In recent years, the movement for the sexual and gender minorities’ rights has given legal recognition as "others" to them apart from men and women. But ironically, society has not yet been able to accept these 'others'.
