KATHMANDU, May 14: The police have sent a letter to the Department of Passport to revoke the passport of Gitendra Babu (GB) Rai, the founding chairman of Suryadarshan Cooperative. The District Police Office, Kaski, has submitted a letter to the Department of Passport, urging the cancellation of Rai's passport.

KATHMANDU, April 2: Amid accusations of misappropriating cooperative funds against Home Minister and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, another high-ranking member of the same party, Vice-Chairman Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal, is now entangled in a cooperative fraud scandal.

KATHMANDU, Jan 21: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has instructed the concerned police department to furnish the file related to the investigation of misappropriation of the finances of several cooperatives by Gitendra Babu (GB) Rai, the chairman of Gorkha Media Group, and Rabi Lamichhane, the former managing director of the company and current chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). A CIB officer stated that the file of the ongoing investigation at the police office outside the valley has been sent to Kathmandu for further investigation.
