Nepal elected to the United Nations Economic and Social Council

KATHMANDU, June 9: Nepal has been elected as a member of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in the elections held at UN Headquarters in New York on Thursday. As an elected member with the highest number of votes from the Asia Pacific region, Nepal will serve in the ECOSOC for a three-year term of 2024-2026.

KATHMANDU, Feb 1: Minister for Youth and Sports, Rajendra Kumar KC, today participated in the ministerial level discussions on the theme of 'economic investment on youth development and ways of implementation' under the United Nations 7th Economic and Social Council Youth Forum. The Council is currently underway in New York, USA.
