A Banksy artwork that sensationally self-shredded just after it sold for $1.4 million is up for sale again — at several times the previous price.

Crowds gathered in coastal towns in eastern England on Saturday to view new works by Banksy, after the secretive street artist claimed responsibility for the murals. Ten images appeared in towns in Norfolk and Suffolk over the past week, sparking speculation that Banksy was behind them.

Having rendered more than 5,500 of the insects in 30 murals and installations over the past five years, Willey says the shared experience of the coronavirus pandemic has made people more receptive to the sense of interdependence he aims to evoke.

Graffiti or murals, for a while now, have been a huge part of the emerging art culture. While earlier we used to see a graffiti or two at a few streets across town, now we can spot one almost everywhere we go. Sometimes we see the artists hard at work in the scorching sun and watch in amazement. We might click a few pictures or tell our friends about a certain mural that caught our attention but we seldom, if ever, find ourselves wondering about the artist whose names often get lost in a corner of the life sized art.

KATHMANDU, Oct 26: Siddharth art gallery in collaboration with four organizations -- Maiti Nepal, Rakshya Nepal, Child Workers in Nepal (CWIN) and Circus Kathmandu has organized a photo exhibition called ‘The true story mural project Exhibition’ at the Gallery’s premises in Baber Mahal.  Sponsored by UN Women and ZONTA International, the exhibit was jointly inaugurated by Wenny Kusuma, country representative of UN Women and Anuradha Koirala, founder and executive director of Maiti Nepal.
