KATHMANDU, Aug 1: It has been found that hundreds of copies of Sabaiko Nepali, a school textbook, printed under the Sajha Prakashan logo, were removed on Tuesday from the private book shop named Oxford International owned by Dolindra Prasad Sharma, chairman and general manager of Sajha Prakashan.

KAKTHMAND, March 26: As part of the preparations for conducting local elections within the slated date of May 14, the Election Commission (EC) has printed the ballot papers for 36 out of the 75 districts so far. The election body plans to complete printing the remaining ballots by April 18. Ballot papers are being printed at the tightly-guarded Janak Shikshya Samagri Kendra (JSSK), the state-owned press, in Bhaktapur district. “Till now, we have printed the ballot papers for 36 districts. We are on track in terms of the logistics for the elections,” said Election Commissioner Narendra Dahal.

KATHMANDU, Jan 16: There is less than a month left for the new academic session to start in the mountain districts but the government has not printed a single textbook of grades one and two yet. There are plans afoot to print colored textbooks of grades one and two for the first time this year.
