Federal govt approves Rs 300 billion for provincial and local govts

KATHMANDU, March 29: The federal government has approved about Rs 300 billion for the budgets of the provincial and local governments for the next fiscal year 2024/25.

KATHMANDU, April 3: The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has cut down the amount of conditional grants that were being given to the provincial and local governments at a time when the federal government itself is struggling to manage its expenses amid the low revenue collection.
