KATHMANDU, Feb 20: The government has recovered royalty dues of casinos worth Rs 764.50 million after the authorities stepped up measures to take action against those dilly-dallying to clear their liabilities.

KATHMANDU, Feb 2: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has written to five casinos which have not paid royalties to clear their dues within seven days.

There remains the question of whether royalties should also be redistributed among localities which neither host nor are physically-affected or neighbor the resource exploitation works in the first place.

KATHMANDU, Oct 27: The government has collected Rs 37 million in royalties from mountaineering expeditions in the autumn season of 2018, from 43 different peaks above 6000 meters.

SOLUKHUMBU, Feb 28: The Rs 210 million worth of royalty from tourism has been sitting idle in the bank account the then District Development Committee (DDC) of Solukhumbu.
