TAPLEJUNG, June 18: Cadres of Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav) led Nepal Communist Party abducted Nepali Congress candidate for ward member Man Kumar Patangwa from Phaktanglung Rural Municipality-2, Khejenim of Taplejung district.

KOHALPUR, June 17: Unlike other parties, CPN (Maoist center) in Nepalgunj has chosen three candidates with physical disabilities to contest in the upcoming local elections.

PALPA, June 17: CPN (Maoist Center) has forged electoral alliance with major political parties like Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and Rastriya Janamorcha in Palpa district to contest in the local polls on June 28.

BANKE, June 17: At a time when the agitating Madhes-based political parties are intensifying their protests leading to election deferral time and again, the people in Madhes have termed the protests 'highly unnecessary', saying that they want elections.
