Music video promoting art

KATHMANDU: More than 80 artists were present at the ground of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts on Sunday. The reason was—shooting of a song—with the theme of Fine Arts. Artists such as Gehendra Man Amatya, Gobinda Narayan Jyapu, K K Karmacharya, Ragini Upadhyay Grela, Hari Prasad Sharma, Uma Sankar Shah including young artists were seen all dressed up and ready for the camera.

About the music video, Upadhyay Grela expressed, “The song is about the value of artists and I feel proud when listened the song and happy to be a part of it.” The concept of this music video is developed by artists Jyoti Prakash BK who is also a singer and composer. Revealing more about the music video BK added, “Before being an artist I used to be a sportsperson. And during that time, whenever I listened to songs I felt energetic and motivated. It’s the same till now. And to motivate artists I have tried to feature them in the music video.”

He says human civilization started from art and life is incomplete without art. He explained, “In Nepal, there are lots of possibilities for the development of the art field, but art development is slowing down because our society is not conscious about the need for fine arts.”

The song is penned by Madhu Shahi and composed by BK whereas the music video is directed by Birendra Bhat. Currently, the production team is going to shoot the video in Pokhara and is set to release soon.
