Chetan Ayadi’s body to be cremated after seven days

BAJURA, Nov 28: The body of student leader Chetan Ayadi is going to be cremated after seven days of his death. The relatives were adamant that they would not receive the body until the killer was arrested. Ayadi was reportedly beaten to death on the evening of November 20.

The body of Ayadi, who lost his life on the way to Bayalgada Hospital, has been kept at District Hospital, Bajura. Although a post-mortem was done, the relatives refused to receive the body. After the police administration started the process of guaranteeing the arrest and started decisive action for compensation, the relatives are going to cremate the dead body today.

CPN (Maoist Center) Bajura office secretary Kashi BK has said that the funeral of the youth (Ayadi) who was a student warrior and the future of Bajura politics is going to be done with grandeur.

Ayadi's dead body was kept at the open air theater, Martadi, from 10 to 11AM and after the funeral meeting, the body will be taken from Martadi to Maure. Relatives have said that the body will be cremated at the holy Dham Maure after a journey of about 30 km from Martadi.

The CPN (Maoist Center) has prepared to carry out the procession and funeral in the presence of thousands of people. Cremation is going to be held in honor of the role he yed in strengthening the party organization. Leaders of the entire party committee will participate in the funeral meeting and funeral procession.

Party Standing Committee Member Karna Bahadur Thapa, Central Member Lal Bahadur Thapa, Prakash Shah, Dayal Bahadur Shahi, Sahadev Bogati, District President Kali Bahadur Shahi, Leaders Bashundhara Rokaya, Lal Bahadur Oli, Party District Committee, Vice President, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and other people of the organization will be present in the funeral procession along with dozens of vehicles and motorcycles.

On the day of the HoR and provincial assembly elections held on November 20, Nepali Congress workers brutally murdered Ayadi on the charge of stopping them from capturing booths. Similarly, Sanjeev Ayadi, a relative of Chetan Ayadi who died on the same day due to firing by the police to control the clash at the booth center, has already been cremated.

Despite the cremation of the body, the CPN (Maoist Center) has said that it will continue its phase-wise movement until re-polling of the 16 booths where the booths have been captured and where the murders took place. Moreover, the CPN (Maoist Center) has also said that the movement will continue until the murderer gets arrested.
