House panel to continue grilling CJ Rana today

KATHMANDU, Sept 4: The meeting of the Impeachment Recommendation Committee of the federal parliament is sitting today. The meeting of the committee is scheduled to be held at 11 AM in the hall of the parliamentary committee at Singhadurbar.

The committee is also recording statements from the suspended Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana in today's meeting as well. The committee started taking statements from Rana from Wednesday.

Today is the third day the parliamentary committee is recording Rana’s statement. In the statement taken on Wednesday, Rana was asked five questions, while on the second day on Thursday, only two questions were asked.

Suspended Rana will be asked a total of 43 questions, the committee said.
