KATHMANDU, April 5: The 11th International Nepal Tattoo Convention 2024 is underway at the Heritage Garden in Sanepa, Lalitpur. The convention started on April 5 and will end on April 7.

The Nepal Tattoo Pvt Ltd organizes the convention every year. According to the organizers, they are the first to organize a gathering of tattoo artists in the sub-continent and are proud to invite, host and showcase the ocean of tattoo artists, piercing and body-mod artists and enthusiasts from all over the globe.

The convention has numerous stalls that are mostly occupied by tattoo artists busy inking their clients who had booked beforehand and after.

There is also a tattoo competition happening each day. For today, the competition includes "Small Tattoo Black & Gray," where creations must be no larger than A4 paper size, utilizing only black, gray, or white ink. Similarly, the "Small Tattoo Color" category demands pieces of A4 size or smaller, but allows for a vibrant palette. The competition broadens its scope with "Ornamental, Tribal, and Dot Tattoo," welcoming entries of any size and color. Highlighting the event's competitive spirit, the "Best of the Day – Day 1" category challenges artists to start and complete their tattoos within the day of the convention itself, with no pre-lining permitted. This competition not only promises to be a feast for the eyes but also a testament to the artists' creativity and skill under pressure.
