"Jhumki" premiered at Big Movies

KATHMANDU, Sept 23: Nepali film “Jhumki” based on an illegal custom called 'Kamlari'  was premiered at Big Movies, Kathmandu on Thursday.

Actor Dayahang Rai, Actor Rabindra Singh Baniya, Actress Malina Joshi including other film artists were present however Actress Rishma Gurung who is currently in Korea for cultural program did not show up at the event.

Actress Rishma Gurung have played a lead role in the “Jhumki” directed by Apil Bista. “The plot of the movie is based on the love story of Tharu girl during maoist insurgency period," Bista said, “the plot of the movie is good, I am optimistic about the success of the film”. 

Jhumki film revolves round a love story between a Tharu girl and a policeman and consequences faced by him. The plot, script and dialogue have been written by Ram Babu Gurung

Produced by Apil Films P. Ltd., music has been beautifully composed by Kali Prasad Baskota and cinematography by Shilendra Karki.  

The movie was shot in dang, Narayangath, Butwal and Kathmandu. The movie is schedule to release on September 23, Friday.

Cine Artists Dayahang Rai, Pramod Agrahari, Manoj Arasi, Bhola Raj Sapkota, Rabindra Singh Baniya, BIjay Baral,  Balmiki Pokharel, Rishma Gurung, Malina Joshi, Sumita Karki and Prem Barsha Khadka have acted in the movie.
