PM Deuba extends tribute to late Lohar

LALITPUR, September 10: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President, Sher Bahadur Deuba, extended tributes to former central committee member of the NC, late Pratapram Lohar. 

Prime Minister Deuba today extended tribute to late Lohar after draping his body with the party flag at the premises of the party office, Sanepa. 

Also issuing a press release, PM Deuba has said that he was very saddened by the demise of a leader of Dalit movement and social worker, Lohar,, describing it as irreparable loss to the NC organisation and Dalit movement. 

Saying the party will always remember the contribution of Lohar in strengthening party organisation, democracy and Dalit advancement, the NC President also extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. 

Similarly, NC senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, NC leader and Deputy Prime Minister Gopalman Shrestha and leaders—Arjun Narsingh KC and Jeevan Pariyar, among others paid their last tributes to late Lohar. 

Lohan, 74, died on September 8 while undergoing treatment at Sumeru Hospital, Lalitpur. He is survived by his wife, one son and four daughters. Lohar's last rites would be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat later today. RSS
