KATHMANDU, March 28: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged the Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs) to put their capital, technical and managerial knowledge, skills and efficiency for Nepal's development and transformation.

Addressing the concluding session of the 10th NRN Global Conference and NRNA International General Assembly on Sunday,  Prime Minister Deuba said unorganized capital and technology of Nepalis spread across the globe should be organized and unified for the country's economic development. He also said the NRNA is required to move ahead by charting out a specific plan of action and strategy to make this happen.

On the occasion, PM Deuba stated that the government is working for policy and legal reforms to facilitate the investment of the NRNs for the cause of the nation's prosperity.

PM Deuba assured the NRNs of creating a favorable environment for their investment and its returns.

Deuba argued that modern and quality infrastructures are needed to bring transformation and sustainable development in the country and that capital and technology are needed to implement the mega hydropower projects, roads, and tunnel projects.

On the occasion, the PM recalled the humanitarian assistance of medical supplies and other support made by the NRNA during the Gorkha Earthquake and COVID-19 pandemic.

Deuba described the NRNs as the bridge to make Nepal's language, cultures, tradition, arts and literature abroad.
