Snowfall expected in various provinces over next three days

KATHMANDU, March 15: Light snowfall is expected in various provinces over the next three days. The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has reported that Nepal is currently experiencing the influence of a westerly low-pressure system and local winds.

As per the latest meteorological bulletin issued by the MFD at 6AM, the weather is mostly clear in the hilly areas of the country while the rest of the country is partly cloudy.

According to the MFD, the weather will remain mostly clear in the rest of the country, with partial change in the hilly areas of the country, including the Sudurpaschim Province, this afternoon. There is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of the country.

The hilly areas of Lumbini and Bagmati provinces are expected to remain mostly clear, with the rest of the areas experiencing clear skies tonight.

The MFD has also informed that there is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

On Saturday, the weather is forecasted to be mostly clear with partly cloudy conditions in hilly areas, while the rest of the country may experience partial cloudiness in the afternoon. Light snowfall is possible in some high hilly and mountainous areas.

The weather will be partly cloudy to mostly clear across the country. There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki province at night.

Furthermore, on Sunday afternoon, the weather will remain mostly clear in the hilly parts of the country, while the remaining parts will be partly cloudy. Light snowfall may occur in certain high hill and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

The weather will be partly cloudy to mostly clear across the country during the night. There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki province.
