JALESHOWR, Nov 12: Mahantha Thakur, chairman of the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, has said that his candidacy for the parliamentary election this year is his last candidacy for  the election.

Thakur has given candidacy for the post of member of the House of Representatives from Constituency No 3 of Mahottari District. He said that he will not contest the elections after this. Chairman Thakur has been asking voters to vote for him for the last time in the course of his door to door election campaign.

Thakur was previously elected as a member of the House of Representatives from this region in 2074 BS. He said that he decided to contest the election again as he has yet to do some work related to the identity and rights of the Madhesh people.

When voters talked about development, Thakur argued that he gave more time for law making and establishing the rights of Madhes and Madhesi people than development. He also said that he had worked in the field of education and health and constructed temples, mosques, walls, fences and roads for the gods and goddesses of different castes in his constituency during his last term.
