Two held with 35 kg hashish

KATHMANDU, June 28:Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested two persons with 35 kilograms of hashish.

A press statement issued by the NCB on Monday stated that Saiman Tamang, 25, from Bara and Dhan Bahadur Tamang, 37, from Nuwakot district have been arrested for possessing hashish.

Saiman has been revealed as a relative of Purna Bahadur Tamang, who was arrested during 'Operation ICE', the NCB's recent crackdown against amphetamine.

According to NCB, Saiman was also involved in carrying the amphetamine drugs from Thailand to Nepal and for smuggling the contraband to other countries such as Indonesia, Australia and the Philippines.

According to NCB, Dhan Bahadur had been involved in international drugs trafficking since a long time.
