KATHMANDU, April 4: The government has started to formulate a new law to restrict 'unnecessary foreign junket' of civil servants. The move is aimed at controlling rampant foreign junkets of bureaucrats causing loss of billions of rupees from the state coffers each year.

JUMLA, Jan 25: Elected members of Gothichaur Rural Municipality of Jumla have courted controversy by spending huge amount from the state coffers for India visit at a time when the locals are struggling with problems of drinking water, health and educational facilities.

KATHMANDU, Nov 24:The Health Ministry has come up with a guideline to regulate foreign trips of its employees after growing criticism from public that the government employees spend more time on foreign junket rather than in the office.
