SOLUKHUMBU, Oct 15: With an increase in the number of tourists visiting Solukhumbu, number of flights operating at Khumbu Airport has increased. There are more than 100 flights operating from the airport every day.
SOLUKHUMBU, Sept 15: Syangboche Airport in Solukhumbu district, the highest-altitude airport of Nepal, has remained non-operational since the past one decade. Except for helicopters that started operating here recently to transport goods, no flights have operated here in the past 10 years.

SOLUKHUMBU, March 25: Locals of Tingla VDC in Solukhumbu district have taken to the streets protesting against the restructuring of local units. Stating that their VDC was included in Necha Salyan Rural Municipality against their wishes, the locals blocked the roads in the area starting Friday.
